Claude Code v2.1.110 adds TUI mode, push notifications, and fixes for MCP server connections

Anthropic released Claude Code v2.1.110 on April 15, introducing rendering and integration improvements. The centerpiece is a new /tui command that enables flicker-free fullscreen rendering separate from the existing transcript and focus view toggles, achieved through Ctrl+O and a dedicated /focus command.

Push notification support was added for users with Remote Control enabled and "Push when Claude decides" configured, allowing Claude to send mobile alerts autonomously. The write and bash tools received refinements: the Write tool now signals the model when users manually edit proposed diffs before acceptance, and the Bash tool enforces its documented timeout limit rather than accepting arbitrary values.

Critical stability fixes target MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integration. One patch prevents tool calls from hanging indefinitely when SSE/HTTP transports disconnect mid-response; another stops non-streaming API fallback retries from causing multi-minute hangs when the API is unreachable. The /doctor command now warns when an MCP server is defined across multiple config scopes with differing endpoints, helping diagnose configuration conflicts.

The /plugin Installed tab reorganization prioritizes items needing attention and favorites at the top, while disabled items fold away. Session management improvements include /resume and /continue commands now working from Remote Control mobile/web clients, and full session directory cleanup including subagent transcripts. The session recap feature was enabled for telemetry-disabled users on platforms like Bedrock, Vertex, and Foundry, with an opt-out option via /config.
