Hugging Face and NVIDIA announced SimReady Central, an open library of more than 2,000 simulation-ready OpenUSD assets hosted on Hugging Face. The library is designed to provide developers with a free, ungated starting point for building physical AI training environments and AI factory digital twins.
SimReady assets are OpenUSD models prepared with properties required for simulation workflows, such as collision geometry, mass, friction, joint structure, semantic labels, materials, and sensor attributes. These properties enable contact and physics simulation, articulated movement, object identification, rendering, and sensor simulation in supported runtimes.
To guide asset preparation and validation, SimReady Foundation defines profiles that specify the logical grouping of features and capabilities an asset needs for particular use cases. Developers can select assets whose profiles match their workflow needs and compose them into OpenUSD scenes for robotics and AI factory simulations.
Equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can prepare and validate their CAD assets against SimReady requirements using the SimReady Central submission skill. Once validated, they can submit assets for inclusion in the library, making them discoverable to developers and AI agents building simulations around their products.
NVIDIA USD Search is integrated into Hugging Face’s platform, enabling natural-language search across indexed USD properties and simulation metadata. This supports Isaac workflows, SimReady Central library search, and AI agent workflows by helping users find assets suited to physical AI simulation tasks.
Participating OEMs include Vertiv, Comau, FANUC, Franka Robotics, Robotiq, Standard Bots, Universal Robots, and LG Electronics. The library also features the NVIDIA Robotics 1K Dataset and assets from simulation asset provider Palatial and AI-assisted CAD provider ForgeCAD.
