Voice AI startup Ringg raises $10M Series A extension led by Peak XV

Ringg, a Bangalore-based voice AI startup, raised a $10 million Series A extension led by Peak XV Partners, bringing its total Series A funding to $15.5 million. The company had previously raised $5.5 million in its Series A earlier in 2026.

Ringg began as a text-to-speech venture called DesiVocal but shifted focus to building voice AI agents for enterprises after finding model training costs prohibitive. Its customers include Indian fintech Cred and startups such as Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and PolicyBazaar.

The startup processes 20 million call attempts per month and has expanded beyond voice into chat and WhatsApp. For some clients, including Shell, it automates browser-based support requests as well.

Ringg’s voice agent is deployed across 1,200 clinics for Practo, handling appointment booking and post-visit follow-ups. The company targets complex workflows such as healthcare appointment booking, e-commerce abandoned-cart recovery, and fintech onboarding and KYC checks.

Most of Ringg’s customers are based in India, with a small presence in the Middle East and the U.S. The company aims to partner with Global Capability Centers in India—offshore hubs for multinationals—to sell automation capacity alongside human support.

Ringg builds its own speech recognition and generation models but currently operates as an orchestration layer, routing tasks to different models depending on the use case due to infrastructure costs.

The voice AI market in India is crowded, with competitors spanning model makers like Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Cartesia, Sarvam, and Smallest.ai, orchestration-focused startups like Bolna and Blue Machines, and sector specialists such as Gnani and Arrowhead.
