Google’s standalone Gemini app has reached one billion monthly active users, CEO Sundar Pichai announced via X. The milestone makes Gemini one of Google’s 14 products to surpass the one billion user mark, the company said. Google also noted that the growth comes as it integrates Gemini across its ecosystem, including Search, Workspace, Android, and its standalone app.

Google separately reported that 63% of Gemini users engage with the assistant using the voice feature. The company also said the app generates more than 150 million images daily. Google’s AI Mode in Search, which is counted separately, also surpassed one billion monthly active users globally.

The company said Gemini’s user base extends beyond its own products, with more than 100 million active users on iOS. Google made the announcement ahead of its Made by Google event, where additional Gemini-powered features for Pixel devices were expected to be unveiled.

The milestone follows Google’s Q2 2026 earnings call, where the company reported having over 950 million monthly users, with daily active users tripling over the past year.
