OpenAI announced that Denise Dresser, its chief revenue officer since December, will leave the company in the coming weeks to pursue other opportunities, according to a team note posted to LinkedIn. Dresser joined OpenAI after serving as CEO of Slack.
Dali Rajic, president and COO of Wiz, will take over the CRO role, OpenAI said. The company framed the transition as part of a broader effort to scale its revenue operations for a generational shift in models and company operations.
Dresser’s departure follows Brad Lightcap’s announcement earlier this week that he would leave OpenAI. Lightcap had previously served as COO and later moved to a special projects role, with Dresser taking on some of his responsibilities.
OpenAI stated that the company is at “an inflection point” where the next generation of models will change how work is done and how companies are built and run. The company added that Rajic will “build the revenue operating system needed to scale for this next phase.”
Dresser’s exit comes ahead of OpenAI’s confidential IPO filing, which the company announced in June 2026. The filing was reported by Bloomberg and noted in The Verge’s coverage.
