Google Search has introduced AI-powered tools designed to assist users in home decor projects, including visualizing furniture in their spaces before purchasing. The feature allows users to upload a photo of their room and receive AI-generated recommendations for furniture that fits both physically and aesthetically. For example, users can ask for mockups of specific items, such as an emerald green velvet sofa, and see how it would look in their space.

Another tool, Google Lens, enables users to identify vintage decor items in real-world settings and find similar products online. This addresses a growing trend, with searches for vintage items like "vintage braided rugs" and "vintage wood coffee table" rising significantly in recent months.

Circle to Search has been expanded to help users discover decor items from videos, social media feeds, or web pages without leaving their current app. For instance, users can circle a fish wallpaper design in a social post and receive similar options or product information. This feature is available on Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S26 devices.

For DIY home decor projects, Search Live provides step-by-step guidance through voice and video input. Users can ask questions aloud and share visual context from their camera feed to receive real-time assistance, such as installing floating shelves.

The update also includes price tracking and history tools, allowing users to compare costs across stores and monitor price fluctuations for items like lamps or wallpaper. Users can set alerts for when prices drop to fit their budget.
