Google is testing CC, an AI agent designed to help families coordinate household tasks, schedules, and communications. The agent integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and the web to manage emails, calendars, and shared tasks.
CC was originally introduced as a productivity agent that delivered a 'Your Day Ahead' briefing to users’ inboxes. Google noted that user requests shifted its focus toward household management, including school schedules, sports practices, bills, and meal plans.
The agent now operates with its own Google account, enabling collaboration among up to six family members. Each member can choose what to share with CC, such as emails about school events, sports, clubs, or doctor appointments. Users can forward messages to CC or set up automatic sharing from specific senders like schools or sports teams.
CC tracks important dates and tasks, automatically adding them to a shared family calendar or task list. For example, it can log orthodontist appointments or teacher workdays directly from email confirmations.
The agent can also perform tasks on behalf of families, such as filling out permission slips or activity registration PDFs, creating shopping lists, planning weekly meals, calculating drive times between activities, and generating shared Google Docs or Sheets. It requests missing details as needed and updates its group memory to improve assistance over time.
CC runs on an isolated cloud computer powered by Google’s Gemini model and its agentic harness, Antigravity. The experiment is currently limited to U.S. users with personal Gmail accounts who are 18 or older, excluding older children with school-provided emails.
Existing CC users will receive upgrade invitations via email, while new users can join a waitlist to access the agent.
